5 Ways to be Motivated-2

In our journey to discover how to get motivated for life we started it off by saying that choose the right companions as this works like the Osmosis Principle in our life. Today, we will look at the second key to getting motivated for life and I hope you enjoy the read and make it your second nature as always.

2. Build on the small things:

When we were in the primary school, our teachers wanted us to learn the multiplication table or what we call the “times table” by rote. We started from the two times, which was the easiest, and worked our way up until we got to the twelve times. When we started with the two times, it was less difficult and we caught on with it pretty fast and thus our zeal was beefed up to learn the three times and the rest.
You see, the teachers started with the smallest not just because it was easy, but because they knew once we were successful with the small things, it will motivate us to add more and strive for the next big thing, and truly, it did. The same principle applies in life. We all have goals that we want to achieve; from the small ones to the huge, gargantuan ones. But it helps to start with the small ones, the ones that we can easily be successful at and work our way up the ladder. Success with the small ones boosts our morale and tells our spirit that we can do the rest also. The problem with starting with the huge grandiose plans is that once you fail at it, it dampens your spirit and de-motivates you. Start from the small ones, succeed at them and build on them. Remember, everything in life starts small and grows big.

So there you have it. The second key to being motivated for life. Until next time I urge you to stay blessed as always. I love you.
